For Ladies. Um between 18-29 I guess? I understand that some "Ladies" look for a personality match in a relationship, but honestly we all (men and women) have our physical preferences.
Now um, I'm currently "re-building" myself, if that makes sense. I am losing weight and I just wanted some opinions.
If you were looking for a man what would you be interested in, besides personality.?
Hair; Long, stylish
or short and sharp?
Body: Big, toned like www.nagarnews.com/gallery/data/me…
Or slim, and slender?
How about shave? Nice shadow? Clean? or hairy ( I don't like hairy) lol
Please tell me.!! | Hmmm. I guess I would say that long hair depends on your facial structure. Some people can pull it off, some look too effeminate. So, short and sharp would be a safe bet. I like men on the slender side, but with muscle tone. Not huge muscles though. Clean shaven or scruffy, but no beards. Hope that helped!
EDIT: Oh, and I'm 20 if that matters. | Neanderthals in mythology? Here is something that i have been thinking about for quite a while (i know i should get help) were our closest cousins homo neanderthalus remembered in folk tales as trolls, satyrs, the Irish fir bolg or the Basajaun of basque mythology? These legendary creatures are often described in mundane ways similar to eyewitness accounts rather than in fairy tale terms, for example satyrs are described as such by the roman Titus Lucretius:
they were built up on larger and more solid bones within, fastened with strong sinews traversing the flesh; not easily to be harmed by the heat or cold or strange food or any taint of the body. ... Nor as yet did they know how to serve their purpose with fire, nor to use skins and clothe their body in the spoils of wild beasts, but dwelt in woods and the caves on mountains and forests, and amid brushwood would hide their rough limbs, when constrained to shun the shock of winds and the rain-showers. ... And like bristly boars these woodland men would lay their limbs naked on the ground, when overtaken by night time, wrapping themselves up around with leaves and foliage.
I study zoology, geology and human evolution by the way and am not closed off to the idea that these creatures "the neanderthal" have survived into recent times with many recorded instances such as this one:
Here you have information about the wild boy who was found a few years ago in the Siebenburgen-Wallachischen border [Rumania] and was brought to Kronstadt [now Brasov], where in 1784 he is still alive. How the poor boy was saved from the forests.. I cannot tell. However one must preserve the facts, as they are, in the sad gallery of pictures of this kind.
This unfortunate youth was of the male sex and was of medium size. He had an extremely wild glance. His eyes lay deep in his head, and rolled around in a wild fashion. His forehead was strangely bent inwards, and his hair of ash-gray color grew out short and rough. He had heavy brown eyebrows, which projected out far over his eyes, and a small flat-pressed nose. His neck appeared puffy, and at the windpipe he appeared goitrous. His mouth stood somewhat out when he held it half open as he generally did since he breathed through his mouth. His tongue was almost motionless, and his cheeks appeared more hollow than full, and, like his face, were covered with a dirty yellowish skin. On the first glance at this face, from which a wildness and a sort of animal-being shone forth, one felt that it belonged to no rational creature. . . . The other parts of the wild boy's body, especially the back an the chest were very hairy; the muscles on his arms and legs were stronger and more visible than on ordinary people. The hands were marked with callouses (which supposedly were caused by different uses), and the skin of the hands was dirty yellow and thick throughout, as his face was. On the finger he had very long nails; and on the elbows and knees, he had knobby hardenings. The toes were longer than ordinary. He walked erect, but a little heavily. It seemed as if he would throw himself from one foot to the other. He carried his head and chest forward. ... He walked bare-footed and did not like shoes on his feet. He was completely lacking in speech, even in the slightest articulations of sounds.
remember the fossil record is by no means complete and the end of a creatures "fossil lifetime" is increasingly taken to mean less and less.
Anyway guys and girls what do you think were these legendary creatures inspired by neanderthal, who either died out thousands of years ago or lived into recent times? | It is a neat idea, that Neanderthals might have lived into historic times. Alas, there is no real evidence for it. We (archaeologists) have thousands upon thousands of skeletal remains of people excavated, non of which are Neanderthals (they are fairly easy to tell apart from skeletal material). Although they were found dating to 30,000 BP and before (depending on the area), they disappear after that time from the archaeological record. Since there are many sites with Neanderthal remains, this is unlikely to be just a sampling issue.
Some scientists do hold that Neanderthals evolved with modern humans, and interbred (making them a subspecies rather than a different species). They argue for a "multiregional" view of modern human origins, suggesting that modern humans are an amalgamation of traits which evolved in different populations throughout the world, which subsequently mixed (Neanderthals being one of those groups). In that scenario, Neanderthals are alive today, albeit in all of us.
Most scientists argue for a single origin of modern humans, somewhere in Africa, which radiated out replacing populations of Neanderthals as they went.
Stories of trolls and other Neanderthal-like creatures are interesting. However the depth of time from when Neanderthals went extinct to the present makes it unlikely that Neanderthals were the origins of those stories. Our basic language has changed so radically in that time frame (even words like "mother," which are often the most heavily conserved in languages), a complete story is unlikely to have survived. | If this hispanic man mixed with this Asian woman, how would the guys look like? how would this
